Phoenix Ready for the SCCA Runoffs National Championship at Road America


Phoenix Performance is ready for the SCCA Runoffs National Championship at Road America. The Championship rolls into Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin from Sept 14th through the 21st. Phoenix and their customers will enter the grid in force for the final race of the season.

T-1 will feature Andrew Aquilante and Preston Calvert, both driving Chevrolet Corvettes. Sportscar Magazine’s annual Who Will Win Edition has picked Andrew Aquilante to win the race.

Andrew will also be racing a Corvette in GT-2.

The A Sedan class sees Amy and Beth Aquilante both racing in Firebirds.  John Heinrincy will also field a Firebird.

Kurt Rezzetano

Kurt Rezzetano and Don Knowles will both field Ford Mustangs in T-2.

In other news, Phoenix’s Andrew Aquilante has been voted into the Road Racer’s Drivers Club this fall. This prestigious honor has been given to Andrew in recognition of his racing achievements at such a young age.

Phoenix Performance Watkins Glen Wet

Phoenix Performance finished a solid 8th place at the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Watkins Glen. Intense and ever changing weather conditions saw Phoenix changing to wet tires and back to dry tires twice while avoiding numerous wrecks throughout the event. Andrew Aquilante and John Yarosz ran a strong race in the #35 Phoenix Performance Mustang Boss 302R.

Andrew Aquilante placed the #35 Phoenix Performance Mustang Boss 302R 2nd in practice 1 despite treacherous conditions. The next practice session is at 4:30 pm EST

Check out Joe and Preston battling it out from the rear window of Joe’s Corvette at the 2013 US Majors at NJMP. Preston finished 3rd in the red #77 Corvette and Joe finished 2nd in the black #32 Corvette in both Saturday and Sunday’s race.

Phoenix Muscle Locks Out the Podium at NJMP

Phoenix Performance dominated Saturday’s T-1 race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Andrew Aquilante took 1st place in the #35 Phoenix Performance Ford Mustang Boss 302. Joe Aquilante finished second in the #32 Phoenix Performance Corvette. Preston Calvert finished 3rd in the #77 Phoenix Performance Corvette. Phoenix Performance is in a great position to dominate again during Sunday’s race.



T-2 action saw Kurt Rezzetano battling it out for a well earned second place in the #36 Phoenix Performance Ford Mustang.

Phoenix Performance at Summit Point

Phoenix Performance finished strong in qualifying for the SCCA Double National at Summit Point. In Phoenix’s Chevrolet Corvette, Joe Aquilante took the pole in T-1 with a time of 1:18.405. Kurt Rezzetano took P2 in T-2 in their Ford Mustang with a time of 1:20.092. The team is confident in a strong result this weekend.

Aquilante Capitalizes On Drying Track At Barber


Aquilante Posts Fastest Lap In Final CTSCC Practice

Andrew Aquilante took advantage of a drying track to put his new No. 35 Phoenix Performance Ford Mustang on the top of the charts in Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge practice Friday morning. Aquilante set the session’s fastest lap, 1:40.692 (82. 231 mph), after a caution briefly halted action for the No. 62 Mitchum Motorsports BMW 128i stopped on track in the final 10 minutes. It was a Ford Mustang 1-2-3 with Roush Performance drivers Jack Roush Jr. and Shelby Blackstock rounding out the top three. Both Roush, 1:41.023 (81.962 mph), and Blackstock, 1:41.154 (81.855 mph), set their fastest laps after the caution period.
