Phoenixville, PA – Andrew Aquilante and Kurt Rezzetano sit one-two in Pirelli World Challenge GTS points standings as the Phoenix American Motorsports and Calvert Dynamics squad heads for a four-car effort at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend with Preston Calvert racing both in GTS and the GT Cup classes.
While Rezzetano triumphed and took the points lead in May in Canada, Aquilante responded at Road America in June, taking his first win of the season and moving ahead of his Ford Mustang teammate in the standings. Those two will be partnered by a third trademark black and yellow Mustang for Calvert at the 2.4-mile 15-turn road course.
With one win a piece, both Aquilante’s No. 32 and Rezzetano’s No. 35 will be looking for a second first-place trophy at Mid-Ohio. While Road America offered four miles of high-speed, Mid-Ohio, also a natural terrain road course, is considerably more twisty and known for its technical challenge.
Calvert will also race in the GT Cup category in the No. 77 Porsche, where he continues to hold down fourth position in the standings.
